Sad day. I stored my Corvette sideways like that across the front of my extra deep 2 stall garage quite a lot it was super useful.

Always a bummer. My scooters won't be getting much use for the next 6 months or so either.

This reminds me that I need to clean the garage.

Yeah, I didn’t know that when I went swimming in TN recently that it was going to be my last swimming day of the year. But temps have cratered where I live and lakes are quickly getting colder.
I might be able to swing a few more rides on the Buell, but it looks like cold hell it's going to be! At least the Burgman is nice to ride in the cold. :)

Not really because the garage is not heated.
As for racing I am in the maintain and consume mode . My type R needs minimal maintenance, so I just check the brakes and race it. My big project for 2020 was change the oil which was going on 3 years old. My 2021 project is to replace the rear pads.
My projects for the next couple of days is to reto rque the alfa head gasket and to change the van’s oil.

Do you use those little dollies to scoot the car over into the corner?

The garage width works out such that I back the driver’s rear corner into the back corner. Then forward full left. Then back full right and after about 4 cycles I am parallel within a foot of the wall. Put the $6 Harbor Freight trickle charger on it and call it done.....

That’s a really clean garage layout. Looks more like an museum exhibit. Good stuff!

I bought a couple of those little dollies from Harbor Fright and lubricated all the wheels and bearings and it moves things very slickly.

its an interesting suggestion. Given I only do this once a year i’d take a pass, but it is interesting none the less.

Shit. I gotta figure out where to put my SAAB for the winter. It’s a convertible and the top is pretty good. Paint’s not that great so I think I’ll get a good cover and leave it in the lot at my wife’s work.
